Be part of Harpenden’s History!
Harpenden Museum, run by volunteers, is located on the lower floor of the Eric Morecambe Centre.
The fantastic collection of artefacts, documents, photographs and artworks has been built up over many years and reflects Harpenden’s history from early settlement to commuter town. Displays will be changed from time to time and special exhibitions will be mounted.
The Museum is now open 11am to 3pm every Saturday and most Tuesdays and Thursdays, subject to availability of volunteers, and at other times by appointment. Admission is free, though donations are welcome. Visits by youth groups, schools and other organisations will be welcomed by prior arrangement, so a curator can be on hand.
For extensive information on Harpenden’s history, confirmation of museum opening hours, details of our programme of monthly meetings and how to join the Society or volunteer to join the museum rota, please see their website: www.harpenden-history.org.uk
