TWO DAYS OF GENUINE FUN!

Every year, Talking Pictures TV and Renown Pictures take over the Alban Arena, St Albans, for a star-studded spectacular of a weekend, with live on stage entertainment plus screenings of lost and rare shorts, films & TV episodes – perfect for fans of good old fashioned entertainment.

NEXT YEAR’S PROGRAMME IS NOT YET COMPLETE, BUT HERE’S A TASTER!

Dame SIÂN PHILLIPS Award-winning star of stage and screen, Dame Siân Phillips is known for Under Milk Wood (1971), television’s I, Claudius, How Green Was My Valley and many other films and series.

DIANE KEEN Diane starred in The Cuckoo Waltz, Rings on Their Fingers, The Shillingbury Tales and Doctors, to name a few!

ANNE REID MBE played Valerie Barlow in Coronation Street and Celia in Last Tango in Halifax among many other roles.

SIMON WILLIAMS AND LUCY FLEMING The star of Upstairs, Downstairs and his wife, Lucy, daughter of Celia Johnson, present Posting Letters to the Moon, the World War II letters between Celia and her husband.

JIMMY CRICKET has been well-known since the 1970s with shows on TV and radio. He brings his catchphrases, humour and trademark wellies to the stage.

KAREN KAY Singer, comedian and ace impressionist, Karen Kay appeared with Bob Monkhouse, Max Bygraves, Des O’Connor and many more in the 1970s and 80s.

NICHOLAS YOUNG Nicholas reunites with Tomorrow People cast members to discuss the landmark 1970s children’s series.

MADELINE SMITH Madeleine began as a model, moving into acting during the 1960s. She has starred in Live and Let Die, The Vampire Lovers, Up Pompeii, and The Two Ronnies, plus many more.

MARK SHORTLAND Mark’s performances include a mixture of illusion, audience participation and comedy, blended with an individual style of magic and suggestion.

CAROLINE MUNRO The Cellar Club hostess and horror legend starred in Captain Kronos, Vampire Hunter & The Spy Who Loved Me.

LOLA LAMOUR professional singer Lola has a penchant for musical styles from the 1940s and 1950s. She transports her audiences to the bygone age of big band music with nostalgic tunes from yesteryear.

The entertainment also includes rare and lost films, shorts and TV episodes, musical clips from yesteryear AND our own FOOTAGE DETECTIVES, MIKE READ and NOEL CRONIN – live on stage!
That’s not all folks! We will be bringing you more news on the acts and entertainment we have booked and planned for this event over the next few months. There is much MORE to be announced – but we can’t tell you yet!
